The Canadian Citizenship Test is a test conducted by IRCC required for any Canadian citizenship applicant aged 18 - 54. The test will ask questions about the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizens, Canada's history, geography, economy, government, laws and symbols.

Who needs to take the test?
Citizenship applicants aged 18 to 54 years old need to take the test.
When will I receive the test invitation?
The invitation is usually received within 1 week of your acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) letter or email.
How do I reschedule the test?
The invitation letter will contain the email for rescheduling. Send an email to the provided email address to reschedule the test specifying your detailed explanation, your application number, and your unique client identifier (UCI).
What if I did not receive the invitation?
To avoid missing the invitation emails, check your junk or spam folder. Look for an invitation from an email address that ends in "@cic.gc.ca." If you still cannot find the invitation, you can submit a web form to IRCC.
What if I failed the test?
You will have 3 chances to take the test with IRCC. If you fail all 3 times, IRCC will send you a notice to appear for a hearing with a citizenship official. At the hearing, we'll orally ask you questions that are similar to those on the citizenship test. If you fail the hearing, your application for citizenship will be refused.
What to do after taking the test?
You will get an unofficial result right after the test. If you pass the test, wait for the official result and the next steps from IRCC (usually within 1-2 weeks). If you fail the test, you can retake the test. You have a total of 3 chances within 30 days.
